Mums - Thinking of going back to work?

Explore office training options with Pitman Training Swords and be in with the chance to win a voucher for the Pavilions SC!

Thinking of going back to work?  Have your family circumstances changed?  Does the recession dictate that your household becomes a two-income family?  Have your children grown up and flown the coop?  Or, maybe you just find being at home full-time a little isolating?

Whether by choice or through necessity, many women in Ireland find themselves seeking employment outside the home.   More employers are making room for mothers to work flexibly so that they can balance family life with a working life, through part-time and flexi-time work arrangements.

If you’re serious about getting back into the workplace, now’s the time to take stock of all your experience and skills gained, either at home or in work, and explore new opportunities to upskill yourself.   As a mother thinking of returning to work, you should never underestimate the abilities and qualities that you have obtained as a parent. The personal skills that you have acquired can be applied to many other jobs and careers.  But, what new skills do you need to acquire to meet the demands of the modern office environment?

Since its establishment in 2007, Pitman Swords has delivered job-specific, audio-based office skills training and learning to more than 600 students, with 77% going on to gain employment as executive PAs, legal secretaries, medical secretaries, accounting technicians and web designers.

To celebrate its 5th anniversary, Pitman Training Swords are offering a €100 voucher for the Pavilions Shopping Centre to one lucky reader.  Click Here to enter Competition.
