There has been a significant increase in salaries across the spectrum for office support staff in 2018, according to the La Créme annual salary survey. The rises come as a result of skills gaps in many sectors, including administrative and office staff, meaning higher salaries and better benefits packages are being used to draw in more talent and encourage a larger number of people to train in these areas.
Some of the most attractive roles by salary include Personal Assistant (PA) which in Cork would pay a starting salary of €28-€32k, a 22% increase on last year. And with 5+ years of experience, you could earn up €60k in Dublin.
Similarly, the Office Manager role starts at an attractive €25-28k in Cork and could again see you rise to €60k with experience in Dublin.
Secretarial and reception work is also well-paid, averaging €20-25k with 0-3 years of experience and up to €40k with 5+ years under your belt.
